Draft Mike Campaign Alive and Well on Facebook

New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg may deny that he has plans to run for president, but it’s not stopping his fans from using Facebook to organize online.

According to this Facebook entry, a group of supporters will be meeting tonight at the landmark Old Town Bar. So far, the meeting looks relatively small: 14 people plan on attending, with 86 people who are not attending, and another 86 not replying.

Nevertheless, this self-organized group of people may be successful in persuading their man: Bloomberg spent several years denying that he wanted to run for Mayor, saying that he was reluctant to give up his frequent skiing vacations. Then he ran, and won.
