Dont Let Super Tuesday Be a Countdown to Disappointment: Draft Mike Bloomberg!
My fellow Americans - here we are in the middle of another contest amongst Democrats and Republicans. A contest of partisan bickering, the outcome of which will be decided on Super Tuesday. Like many of you I am uninterested and even frightened by the current crop of candidates.
The questions I ask myself are:
Who can I trust in regards to the new digital economy? Who is not afraid to collaborate with their political rivals to overcome complex problems such as Public Health, Education, and the Environment and Sustainability? Who can I trust to help heal the political divide while our men and women are overseas?
Our country, a 13 trillion dollar enterprise, is in desperate need of a skilled and competent manager, and here is what you can do to help!
- We are in need open-source programmers (especially drupal) to help us spread the word and widgitize the Draft Bloomberg movement.
- We are in need of viral videos, pictures, e-card, etc to build our numbers.
- We are in need of simple things such as blog posts, signing the online petition, joining our forums/mailing list, and making your presence known on social networks. (see the links on the sidebar)
If we build it - he will run; Super Tuesday - here we come

As a long time member of the Independence Party of MN, I would urge Mike to run. Our party has automatic ballot line access so with our endorsement, he would have no hurdles in MN.

All I want for Christmas if for Mike to run for President! Please. We need real change. The economy will be a primary concern by November, who better than Bloomberg to help us during such turbulent times.

The electoral college is a significant hurdle. Mike would only run if he could win. He may get 60% of the vote in a 3-way race and still lose in the electoral college. Any ideas?

Well, we have reason to believe that he could pick up both New York and California quite handily. While that isn’t the whole election, it is a hell of a start

Nothing is guaranteed in CA and NY. We must not be under the illusion (like unity08 was) that we can just “phone it in” and go on a “smile and a shoeshine’ with our Centrist efforts at change. There will need to be some hard, tough slogging and soil tilling ahead to prep things for a legit credible Bloomberg bid - and a solid credible sucessful Presidency!! High hopes for change are not enough, but solid substance behind our wonderful rhetoric is needed!!

John, I agree that it will be quite difficult, all I’m saying is that it is clearly possible. BTW something you can do right now to help this movement out is sign the petition! After that you should send it to your friends!

Hello. I was referred to your group by meetupgroups.com. If anyone here is interested in a nonpartisan VA voter action group for voterverified voting technology, recounts and auditing, please see if VVCVA.org and send anyone on the site a request to join. Thanks so much for your interest in voting reform.
