Draft Bloomberg Spreads to Daily Kos

Last night we ran a little experiment and posted something on DailyKos. Within mere minutes, partisan-hacks went on the attack. In between reading their screeds, I marveled at the output over a hundred comments in less that an hour. What if all of that wasted energy could be put to good use?

As a country we are trapped in a partisan divide. The response we received at DK would be no different from the response we’d receive on a Republican blog. There seems to be no room in the 2008 election for a conversation about who would make an excellent leader and why - as usual, only your party label matters, not your results.

Here at Draft Bloomberg HQ, we want the 2008 elections to be about something larger than 1 party or other gaining control and forcing their agenda on everyone else. We want this election to be about the results. Who has the ability to lead America forward?

Mayor Bloomberg, When reading and listening to the candidates for President of the United States of America from both the Democratic and Republican parties I feel they all fall short. I believe that you, above all others, have the intelligence, world view, and expertise to lead this country in the direction it must go. We must move to a business-model of government, the spending is out of control. Similarly, I believe we must stop the troubling movement of suppressing civil rights.
