Lieberman-McCain:Do We Care? Yes!

Joseph Lieberman’s across the aisle endorsement of John McCain heralds the growth of independent ideology and our continued enthusiasm for candidates who are more concerned with doing right than with being popular. American’s independent voters are becoming an increasingly vocal constituency, calling for action and accomplishment instead of party loyalty: right, left or so-called independent.

So why is this potentially significant for Bloomberg and the Bloomberg Draft?

If you followed Bloomberg’s participation in Lieberman’s indy campaign in during Lieberman’s Ct run in 2006, Bloomberg’s move to unaffiliated political status (our favorite status!) might not come as such a big surprise.

Bloomberg, Lieberman and McCain: mutual support and mutual respect
See here, here, here, here and here

At this point in this long drawn out election cycle, McCain is not seen as a front runner and unless the trend changes, will possibly not be a candidate for the duration of the campaign. If McCain drops out at some point, McCain-Lieberman can join together in a significant and meaningful bi-partisan show of support for a potential Bloomberg candidacy.

We can no longer tolerate the failure of professional campaigners to effectively run this country based on self serving party platforms and legend-in-their-own-minds politicians of any persuasion.

The Rest of Us are being heard.

McCain is my man. How about a McCain - Bloomberg ticket? I prefer Bloomberg-Lieberman, but that is too Jewish

[…] Joe Lieberman (I-CT)  has endorsed McCain, and Bloomberg as Quigley states: “put the cash behind Joe Lieberman in his contentious reelection bid against Ned Lamont.” […]

  3. Starbucks Republican Says:

I don’t believe McCain will endorse anyone who is a non-Republican, but Lieberman might endorse Mike, for sure.
