Mayor Bloomberg, Kansas City is calling you out!

Dateline: Overland Park, KS Friday afternoon.
This is my first trip back home since I have become devoted to the cause of eliciting the Mayor’s compliance in getting in the race for POTUS, so I decided to poll the opinions of family, friends and complete strangers in the smack dead center of the country on Bloomberg, the 2008 race, and whether an unaffiliated, Jewish, divorced Mayor of “Noo Yawk City” could be elected President.

Complete stranger at hotel: “I thought he was running already” When told not yet~he said, “Well, how could someone not give it a shot if they have the opportunity? Isn’t taking the chance how he got to be Bloomberg?”

Dinner with Mom and adorable little niece Madilynn Rose. Mom: “Is anyone outside of these primary states even thinking about the election now? What is wrong with us that we spend two years electing a President and then hope that the other side neuters him for 4 to 8 years? If politicians were in private industry they would all be fired for doing nothing. Bloomberg should go in and starting calling them out for not doing the job we sent them there to do”
Madilynn: “I want gummy bears”

School friend: “Bloomberg would do great here. This is the land of Independence: Truman, Eisenhower~all we see today in Washington is wishtobees. The last BS with the Democrats getting elected and doing absolutely nothing they said they will do has harmed them far more than they can possibly realize. The current candidates: What have these people done to deserve to be President of the United States? How has the office been cheapened so much that we don’t care any longer about character, accomplishment and vision? Bloomberg could work this, as he has in the past, to his advantage if he would just launch an all out media effort to make himself known, emphasis his non-partisan agenda, avoid the third party flakes, and stay true to the principles of honest open management he used to get NYC back on it’s feet.”

Friend at lunch: “Lots of people like partisanship even though they don’t realize why. Politicians function on such a corrupt level that it’s better for the country if they don’t accomplish anything. As long as they are fighting among themselves, they don’t really interfere with those of us out here getting our work done”
