Loading ...Why Is Bill Clinton Doing Hillary’s Hatchet Work?
Mike Bloomberg must be running for President. Why? Because not only is Bill Clinton criticizing him for being wealthy, but Mike Bloomberg is also firing back.
In a speech on Sunday where Bill Clinton used the word “I” 39 times and the word “Hillary” only 5, he complained that self-financed campaigns are “against the spirit of campaign finance reform.” I supposed pandering to convicts for illegal, bundled donations is a little more befitting the white house? Responding to the criticism Mike Bloomberg said:
“I would never have been elected had I had to go out and solicit contributions. I also wouldn’t have been as free to appoint the best people if I had solicited contributions,” Mr. Bloomberg said at a firehouse in Brooklyn.
“Nobody makes contributions without expecting something. Small donors probably just expect good government — and let’s hope they get it — and big donors sometimes, as we all know, expect appointments or favorable legislation.”
And if that’s not enough, self-financed campaigns are no more likely to win than panhandled ones…
Alright Mr. Bloomberg, the charade is over. The campaign has begun. Let’s take the gloves off and get this historic campaign going already!

Nicely put. I noticed last week that Bill had already begun campaigning AGAINST BLOOMBERG in Iowa while shilling for his surrogate. Clinton and his Cajun Cartel were raising money for Hillary before the ‘06 races. I wrote then about a very competent and honorable Iraq war veteran and military officer - a Democrat from North Carolina - who was forced to drop out of the U.S. House race because he couldn’t raise cash while the most important fundraiser in NC was already drawing all the cash out of the state for Hillary. Bloomberg puts up his own cash. Clinton raised much of his from the likes of Marc Rich who Clinton pardoned after a one million dollar pay off.

Well, my intention is not to single out the Clinton’s so much as singling out the hipocracy of a Pre McCain-Feingold polician saying that a post McCain-Feingold polician somehow has it easy. Also, the fact that Bill Clinton is now bashing Bloomberg, means that they consider him competition.
One more step toward announcement!

I am always amazed at the hypocracy of politicians when trying to build a case.

The era of professional campaigners, which started at the end of the Civil War, put an end to the days of the Gentleman farmer taking office and putting his own livelihood in danger while he served the public good.
Last I checked, none of the candidates were exactly hurting for cash before they hit the campaign trail. Political office is a hobby of the rich, for better or worse~and it is just laughable that Clinton is arguing that Bloomberg’s billions is so unfair if he runs against Hillary’s millions.
Bloomberg, at least, earned his money without the binds that come with accepting contributions.
Mike has said himself that the best way to get elected is to “first, make a billion dollars”

Bill Clinton is a smart guy and realizes that a Bloomberg run means big trouble for Hillary. She wouldn’t even take NY.
This is a great development.
Time to end the Bush/Clinton monarchy of the past 20 years….
