Movement to Draft Mike Bloomberg For President Gets a Boost!

As Elizabeth Benjamin of New York Daily News reports here, some people from Unity08 have taken a new course and will joining the nationwide movement to Draft Mike Bloomberg. In an excerpt taken from a letter to the Unity08 membership:

“And, of course, waiting in the wings should the divide persist, is the potential of a serious non-partisan candidacy in the person of the Mayor of New York (and indeed we have lost two of our leaders, Doug Bailey and Jerry Rafshoon, to a committee forming to draft Mayor Bloomberg should the circumstances seem right).”

We the People welcome the newest members of this growing movement! The more voices that come together, the louder our voice will be! If we Unite For Mike, surely he will run!

In its letter to supporters, Unity08 directors also pointed to a moral victory: the success of unity-themed candidates such as Sen. Barack Obama. “In a larger sense, we have accomplished a major portion of what we set out to do,” the directors wrote.

We agree - unity is a message we can believe in. But leadership in and experience with being both a change agent AND an experienced leader is what will bring the United States together. Unity is part of the message, but discourse and compromise is what also makes our country great. This is why we NEED Mike Bloomberg to run for the Presidency.
